2015 Design Review - Galway United FC

Hi Guys, Its been a long season here at Galway United Football club but preparations are already under-way for next season. I've put together a (small) selection of some of the design work I created for the club during the 2015 SSE Airtricity season. Everything was redesigned from the ground up this year. With the clubs name returning to Galway United my main focus design wise was on the word 'UNITED' The club is what it is, after all the struggles because the city united together and achieved something remarkable.

Projects that stand out in my memory are the Free U-12 Season ticket promotion. The 1980's themed Match Programme, The Redesign and return of Terry the Tiger, The match against Liverpool and the EA Sports Cup Final Merchandise.

Just a reminder. Galway United is a community club, owned and run by the fans. Volunteering is the heart blood of the organisation. All of my work was undertaken on a completely volunteer basis, mostly during lunch breaks although I did have a couple of late nighters getting the match programme out (Sorry Neen!) A LOT can be achieved when fans pull together.

I'd like to thank our photographers this season, who's photos are what made all of this possible. Sean Ryan and Steve Alfred. I'd also like to mention all the volunteer contributors on the match programme team, in particular Johnny Ward and Paraic Collins Editor and Co-Editor respectively. In addition to them I'd like to give a special mention to club PR Officer Vinny O'Connor who created and runs the brilliant Galway United website.

And last but not least Shane Crotty. My parter in crime who designed and engineered all the fantastic stat pages in this years match programme and who's special edition prints at the the back of each issue put my efforts to shame.
