Disney acquire 'Joe & Jack'
I absolutely love Disney so the following bit of news about the show I'm currently working on is pretty exciting...hopefully the acquisition will open up the possibility of 'Joe & Jack' being distributed by Disney in various other markets too...
"Pre-school animation series, JOE AND JACK, produced by Northern Ireland based Maeve McAdam and Villi Ragnarsson of Dancing Girl Productions and written by Corrina Askin, continues to garner interest worldwide.
Distributor CCI Entertainment Ltd has announced that the show has been acquired by Disney Junior Latin America. Joe and Jack will be dubbed into both Spanish and Brazilian Portuguese for Disney Junior Latin America.
Joe and Jack revolves around the comedic adventures of a boy Joe, and his best friend Jack. The only catch, Jack is a cat! The daring duo turn the ordinary into the extraordinary by using their imaginations to make dreams come true. The 39 x 7' series embodies themes of friendship and fun and tackles preschool challenges.
“We are thrilled that Joe and Jack has found a great home with Disney Junior in Latin America” said Federico Vargas, Director of Sales, Latin America, Iberia, CEEMEA. “We are confident that the series will perform well in the territory and look forward to a successful launch.”
Joe and Jack will be broadcast on RTÉ in Irish and English and is being distributed by CCI Entertainment, Canada. The series received finance from the Northern Ireland Screen Fund supported by Invest NI and part funded by the European Regional Development Fund. It has also received funding from the Irish Language Broadcast Fund for its Irish version."
